Hot town, itʼs summer in the city, and everyone is frantically attempting to spend the Fourth anywhere but home. I mean, the agenda was nothing short of panic back in the day. Have to say, though, after many an Independence Day at beaches from Malibu to Margate, New Jersey, to the Hamptons, to long weekends in Aspen and various jaunts to European cities, the holiday is starting to feel a little overrated. Don’t misunderstand—itʼs no New Yearʼs Eve. However, let’s not discount the possibility of a unique summer weekend in the city. The chicest Collectistas are above the riffraff and appreciate the luxury of slowing down and embracing the opportunities we take for granted in our own backyards.
