It seems that when I am in the city that never sleeps, I become the girl who never sleeps. Don’t misunderstand—I have absolutely no trouble catching some Z’s. There are just so many amazing things to do that I don’t want to waste a single minute with such a boring task. After all, I can sleep when I am dead. My perfect formula for New York City is a red-eye, cappuccino and shower upon check-in, and hitting the ground running. I mean, between the spring auctions, amazing museum and gallery shows (Pierre Huyghe on the Met’s roof garden was my official highlight), spring auctions, and multiple fairs—not to mention a little haircut here and a filler there—there is barely time to eat. But that is okay too, as I can arrive to the evening dinner parties with a healthy appetite. If you did opt to catch up on your sleep this week, do not fret: You are just in time to get the download on my favorite fair finds, reminisce about Frieze 2014, see what is happening at Collective Design, learn what tastemakers recommend wearing to the New York art fairs, and wrap your head around Frieze 2015 and Fluxus art.
