I always respect a girl who embraces her curls. Hence, I was thrilled to finally meet Elisabeth Weinstock whom I had been hearing about for several years. Elisabeth with an “s”  is a native Angeleno who enjoyed her initial success as a luxury sleepwear designer selling at Barneys, Bergdorf, and Harrods. She made her more recent splash as an interior designer. It was in this role that Elisabeth started designing four-foot high exotic skin jewelry armoires for Hollywood’s elite. After initially selling her cases at Maxfield, she finally built out her own edgy-meets-glamorous space on her mom’s birthday (happy b’day  Elisabeth’s Mom!) in March of 2013. I wasn’t sure where to look first — the snakeskin Tokyo 2 cross body bags that are perfect for travel and art fairs, the anaconda Qatar clutches, the tabletop goodies, or the magnificent architecture surrounding us. Elisabeth is proud to share the details of her experience totally transforming her interior space — right down to every molding and floor-plank. Now her passion has shifted to her product line. She sources incredible skins from Paris and even creates unique items like anaconda futbols (shout out to Mr. Dottie), boxing gloves and American footballs. It also doesn’t hurt to have a beautiful Brit working the floor who could sell you the Brooklyn Bridge with her accent. Definitely pop in for a drink in the “man cave” or a cappuccino in the “boudoir”. However, be prepared to leave with a shopping bag or two. Like the woman herself, Elisabeth Weinstock’s products ooze chic.
