I remember when I spent days creating “mixes” for boyfriends and besties. It was beyond gratifying to find the perfect combination of songs, record them utilizing my double-cassette tape player, and create an adorable label. Now, with the evolution of digital music, we have all become DJ’s of sorts. Everyone has his/her own personal playlists for every occasion, accessible at any time, anywhere. As such, during Art + Music week, I had to check in with my art world tastemakers to share their personal playlists that inspire. Enjoy listening to top contemporary artists’, curators’, gallery owners’, and art production designers’ favorite tunes that strike just the right note.
